U.S., Indian joint forces conduct large-scale amphibious landing drill during Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025
KAKINADA BEACH, India (April 11, 2025) — Indian Army soldiers from the 4/8 Gurkha Rifles Infantry Battalion, 91st Infantry Brigade, simulate securing a beach before a U.S. Navy Landing Craft, Air Cushion launched from the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) arrives during a large-scale amphibious landing drill as part of Exercise Tiger Triumph, at Kakinada Beach, Andhra Pradesh, India, April 11, 2025. U.S. and Indian Armies strengthen alliances during Tiger Triumph

The U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), steams in formation with Indian Navy Ship, INS Shivalik (F47), during Exercise Malabar 2022, in the Philippine Sea, Nov. 11. Malabar 2022 is a Japan-led, surface, air, and subsurface multi-lateral field training exercise with the Indian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, Royal Australian Navy and U.S. Navy. Malabar 2022 enhances interoperability between Australian, Indian, Japanese and U.S. maritime forces, strengthens the critical partnerships and demonstrates U.S. naval presence in the Indo-Pacific region.

India’s Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Adm. S.N. Ghormade welcomes the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Charles Drew (T-AKE 10) to L&T Shipyard in Kattupalli, near Chennai, India, Aug. 7, 2022 where the ship will conduct scheduled maintenance. As part of Military Sealift Command’s Combat Logistics Force (CLF), Charles Drew enables U.S. Navy ships to remain at sea and combat ready for extended periods of time. In addition, CLF ships, like Charles Drew, also resupply international partners and allies operating in the Indo-Pacific Region. Under Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet and routinely interacts and operates with 35 maritime nations in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific Region.
