Several shops from the 35th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron work with each other to perform their specialized craft on the aircraft. US, Japan breaks barriers, reinforces partnership during exchange

Tomoyuki Numao, a 3rd Air Wing crew chief, during a "4 Lenses" exercise at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Nov. 30, 2016. The "4 Lenses" test is a proven personality assessment which helps organizations build understanding of the innate talent and potential of its individuals. Airmen and JASDF members were given a chance to work around language barriers while getting to know each other prior to working together during a bilateral exchange.

Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape specialists teach pilots how to properly and safely release themselves from a parachute being drug by the wind. Undergoing this training every three years is critical to the pilots because it may be the only time they are able to demonstrate these techniques before an emergency situation.

Air Force, Army medical exercise concludes at Misawa
U.S. Army and Air Force medics observe a surgery during MEDEX 16, a medical exercise held at Misawa Air Base, Aug. 24, 2016. The patient had surgery on his back to remove a mass from his body. MEDEX 16 provided a unique training opportunity, enhancing the capabilities of its participants by using real patients instead of scenario based ones.

Green Dot takes effect across Air Force
Personnel from the 35th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office hold green dots at Misawa Air Base, Japan, June 02, 2016. The non-profit organization Green Dot has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to support its five-year strategy to curb interpersonal violence across the service. Under the terms of the agreement, Green Dot will provide the USAF with violence prevention tools for a period of three years.

Misawa Airmen rally for simulated disaster
MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan (April 27, 2016) - Airmen from the 35th Medical Group (MDG) tend to two personnel simulating injuries during an emergency management exercise. Aftershocks following a simulated 8.2 magnitude earthquake forced the 35 MDG to hold injured personnel in their expansion bay to be air-evacuated to another base for care.

Northern Edge 2015 battlespace, maximizes training capability
EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska (June 25, 2015) Live, virtual and constructive (LVC) participants from various U.S. military branches are tracked by the 353rd Combat Training Squadron as assets move into place in preparation for an Exercise Northern Edge scenario. The LVC system enables live participants like this U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon deployed to Alaska to directly engage and interact with virtual aviators operating from home station simulators, and contructive computer-generated forces to provide more robust training scenarios. Northern Edge 2015 is Alaska's premier joint training exercise designed to practice operations, tactics, techniques and procedures as well as enhance interoperability among thousands of Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from active duty, reserve and National Guard units.

Team Misawa ACE week enhances MCA capabilities
Six U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons sit on the flightline during Agile Combat Employment week at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Dec. 10, 2020. This training integrated Multi-Capable Airmen concepts, which focuses on teaching skill-sets outside of one’s respective career field. For example, during this training a 35th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief taught a 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron Airman how to marshal an F-16 Fighting Falcon.
