84th Engineer Battalion's Civic Action Team builds water catchment systems in Palau
The Civic Action Team (CAT) in Palau from the 84th Engineer Battalion, 130th Engineer Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command constructed two water catchment systems that will provide clean and filtered water to the local population during the first half of their six month deployment. The United States' Civic Action Team in Palau aims to continue to build the friendship between our great nations through improving the quality of life of Palauans, supporting the agreements in the compact of free association, and supporting United States Pacific Command's cooperative engagements in the Indo-Pacific.

Pacific Partnership 2018 Concludes in Palau, Heads to Malaysia

Rodney DeWalt, arrives onboard Military Sealift Command expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Brunswick (T-EPF 6) during the Pacific Partnership 2018 (PP18) Palau mission stop closing ceremony. PP18™s mission is to work collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase stability and security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships across the Indo-Pacific Region. Pacific Partnership, now in its 13th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific.

Personnel aboard USNS Brunswick (T-EPF 6) man the rails as the Military Sealift Command expeditionary fast transport ship arrives in Palau for the second mission stop of Pacific Partnership 2018 (PP18). PP18âs mission is to work collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase stability and security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships across the Indo-Pacific region. Pacific Partnership, now in its 13th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific.

USNS Salvor, MDSU Divers Team Up with DPAA to Recover WWII Pilot's Remains Near Palau
Navy Diver 1st Class James Ward, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Company ONE-SIX, embarked aboard USNS Salvor (T-ARS 52) guides a salvage basket during a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency led underwater recovery operation searching for personnel off the coast of Koror, Palau, Jan. 30, 2018, as he searches for personnel who went missing during WWII. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.

U.S. Sailors and Airmen participate in the Civic Action Team Palau change of charge ceremony Aug 11, 2017, at the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center, located in Palau’s Koror state. U.S. Air Force CAT Palau 36-02 was relieved of duty by U.S. Navy CAT Palau 133-27.

U.S. Marines with the Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit clear a water treatment facility at Koror, Palau on July 21, 2016. The Marines are conducting training in Palau to ensure familiarity with Palau's complex urban environment. The training events were planned out with local authorities to provide an opportunity for realistic training with minimal inconvenience to the community and environment.
