Green Dot takes effect across Air Force
Personnel from the 35th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office hold green dots at Misawa Air Base, Japan, June 02, 2016. The non-profit organization Green Dot has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to support its five-year strategy to curb interpersonal violence across the service. Under the terms of the agreement, Green Dot will provide the USAF with violence prevention tools for a period of three years.

A U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II, with the 51st Fighter Wing, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, sits on the flight line of Clark Air Base, Philippines, April 16, 2016, as part of a newly stood up Air Contingent in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The contingent's first iteration is comprised of five A-10Cs, three HH-60G Pavehawks and approximately 200 Pacific Air Forces personnel including aircrew, maintainers, logistics and support personnel. The A-10C were chosen as they were already in place supporting Exercise Balikatan 16 and have a proven record operating out of short and austere airstrips, provide a flexible range of capabilities, and have a mission profile consistent with the air and maritime domain awareness operations the air contingent will conduct.

One Shot: Marines, JGSDF complete sniper training
YAMATO, KUMAMOTO, Japan (Dec. 2, 2014) - U.S. Marine Sgt. Joseph Armistead, crouching, instructs Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF)Members during sniper stalk lane training in the Oyanohara Training Area. The training is part of Forest Light 15-1, a semi-annual, bilateral exercise consisting of a command post exercise and field training events conducted by elements of III Marine Expeditionary Force and the JGSDF to enhance the U.S. and Japan military partnership, solidify regional security agreements and improve individual and unit-level skills. Armistead, from Seymour, Tennessee, is a scout sniper with Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, currently attached to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III MEF, under the unit deployment program. The JGSDF scout snipers are with 42nd Regiment, 8th Division, Western Army, JGSDF. 141203-M-GX711-105.
