KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea
U.S. Air Force and Republic of Korea Air Force F-35A Lighting II aircraft soar through the skies over Korea July 12, 2022 in a tight formation. The 356th Fighter Squadron out of Eielson AFB, Alaska, arrived in the Republic of Korea to conduct combined training flights with the ROKAF's 151st and 152nd Fighter squadrons. This training on and around the Korean peninsula enhanced interoperability between the two air forces. Pilots from both nations were able to share tactics and learn from each other, increasing the lethality of the ironclad US-ROK alliance.

The official party departs following the 354th Fighter Wing’s Last Jet Arrival Ceremony May 13, 2022, on Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The arrival of the wing’s final jet April 15 marked the end of a two-year beddown process that yielded two operational fighter squadrons comprised of 54 permanently-assigned, combat-coded F-35A aircraft.

At Sea
PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 20, 2020) F-35 Lightning II aircraft assigned to the Japan Air Self Defense Force conduct integrated air operations with the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group and assigned to Amphibious Squadron 11, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
JOINT BASE PEARL HARBORHICKAM, Hawaii
U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Japan Air Self Defense Force aircraft conduct a large-scale joint and bilateral integration training exercise Aug. 18, 2020. Four B-1B Lancers, two B-2 Spirit Stealth Bombers, and four F-15C Eagles conducted Bomber Task Force missions simultaneously within the Indo-Pacific region over the course of 24 hours. Pacific Air Forces routinely conducts BTF operations to show the United States’ commitment to allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
