Joseph Ross, 2nd Platoon, Alpha Company, 29th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, provides security after exiting a U.S. Army Black Hawk during a tactical insertion as part of the 25th ID Lightning Academy’s Jungle Operations Training Center (JOTC) patrol day one March 23, 2016, at the East Range Training Center, Hawaii. Students who attend the JOTC training course learn how to operate in a jungle environment learning skills focused on survival, communication, navigation, waterborne and patrol base operations.
