An environmental technician conducts hourly pressure gauge checks on the water tanks outside the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility in Halawa, Hawaii, Feb. 8, 2023. The pressure gauge accurately measures the pressure in which the water flows in and out of the water tanks. Water from the aquifer is first pumped into the water tanks, which is then cycled into the analyzer shed–where the water is constantly analyzed for possible contaminants–and is then recycled back into the aquifer.
