FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii - U.S. Army Pacific Commanding General, Gen. Robert Brown (left) welcomed incoming Australian Deputy Commanding General-North, Maj. Gen. Daniel F. McDaniel (right) and honored outgoing Deputy Commanding General-North, Maj. Gen. Roger J. Noble (center) during a ceremony held Jan. 4, 2019 at Palm Circle on Fort Shaft, Hawaii. Australia is a vital ally and partner of the United States. The United States and Australia maintain a robust relationship underpinned by shared democratic values, common interests, and cultural affinities. The alliance with Australia is an anchor of peace and stability.
