NMCB-3 Completes Turnover, Assumes Authority of Indo-Pacific Region Naval Construction Force Operations

OKINAWA, Japan - Cmdr. Joseph Harder, commanding officer of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, delivers remarks during a Relief in Place/Transfer of Authority ceremony at Camp Shields in Okinawa, Japan, in which NMCB-3 received authority of the camp from NMCB-5. NMCB-3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Seabees provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces globally.
