YOKOSUKA, Japan - In this file photo, Naval Aircrewman (Tactical Helicopter) 3rd Class David Finley defends against virtual enemy combatants during an Office of Naval Research (ONR) demonstration of new and improved training which combines software and gaming technology to help naval forces develop strategies for diverse missions and operations, Mar. 22, 2016. The demonstration took place at the Fleet Integrated Synthetic Training/Testing Facility (FIST2FAC) on Ford Island, Hawaii, and aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) located pierside at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, allows Sailors to interact with artificially intelligent forces in countless virtual settings - and train for multiple missions simultaneously.
