2017 November 18 - KUNMING, China - Soldiers from the U.S. Army and the People’s Liberation Army prepare their equipment for the rope rescue operation as part of the U.S. - China Disaster Management Exchange 2016, November 18, in Kunming, Yunnan province, People’s Republic of China. The annual United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) Security Cooperation event with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is an opportunity to share Humanitarian Assistance/ Disaster Relief lessons learned from real-world events and enhance U.S. and Chinese disaster management capabilities.
