JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM — Adm. Samuel Paparo, commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, visits the Chilean Navy tall ship Esmeralda during its scheduled port visit to Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam on May 20, 2025.

The Chilean Navy Tall Ship is commanded by Capt. Andres Gallegos, who greeted Paparo during his visit. 

Chile has actively participated in several key exercises and initiatives under the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, such as the Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC), underscoring its commitment to regional security and interoperability.
