Inspector General, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command

Colonel Michael F. Minaudo

Colonel Michael F. Minaudo currently serves as the Inspector General at United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tampa and was commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate through ROTC as a Second Lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corps in 1997. He served as a Platoon Leader and Detachment Commander with the 510th Personnel Services Battalion in Stuttgart, Germany; Kosovo; and Mannheim, Germany. Colonel Minaudo served as a Battalion S1 for the Des Moines, Iowa Recruiting Battalion and Commanded the New Haven, Connecticut Recruiting Company for 32 months. He served in Naples, Italy as the Allied Forces South Battalion (AFSOUTH) S3 and Executive Officer. Colonel Minaudo attended the Naval War College and completed the Command and General Staff Course. As the S1 for the 7th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade in Mannheim, Germany, Colonel Minaudo deployed to Afghanistan in 2009 and helped establish the Joint NETOPS Control Center-Afghanistan. From 2011-2015 he was the Department Chair and Professor of Military Science at the University of Nevada, Reno. From 2015- 2017 Colonel Minaudo commanded the Allied Forces North Battalion (AFNORTH) located in Casteau, Belgium. Colonel Minaudo was then assigned at the Pentagon as the Chief of the Personnel Contingency Cell for the Army Deputy Chief of Staff G1. His second previous assignment was as the Deputy Adjutant General of the United States Army from 2019-2021. Most recently he was the Chief, Military Resources and Management Division and Deputy J1 for USINDOPACOM.

Colonel Minaudo’s education includes a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education, Master of Science Degree in Education, Master of Arts Degree in Military Studies, and Master of Arts Degree in Strategy and National Security Studies. Colonel Minaudo is certified as a Military Historian by the Army Center for Military History. Colonel Minaudo is married to the former Christina Henrichsen of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. They have a daughter, Isabella, and a son, Noah
