Brigadier General Michael R. Drowley, USAF

Brig. Gen. Michael R. Drowley is the Director, Joint Training and Exercises (J7), U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (HQ USINDOPACOM), Camp Smith, Hawaii. As the Director, he develops and executes the Joint Exercise and Joint Training Programs for HQ USINDOPACOM, and USINDOPACOM Components and Subordinate forces within the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility. Additionally, he develops and implements concepts incorporated into the Pacific Deterrence Initiative (PDI) such as the Pacific Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability (PMTEC). PMTEC enables Joint, Combined, and Coalition warfighters to realistically rehearse fighting in highly contested all-domain environments against peer adversary capabilities to support integrated deterrence.

Brig. Gen. Drowley earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 1996. He is a command pilot with more than 2,400 fighter hours in the A-10, including more than 200 combat hours. Brig. Gen. Drowley has commanded at the flight, squadron, group, and wing levels. Additionally, he has served on the staffs of the Superintendent, United States Air Force Academy, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and as Chief of Staff, Headquarters United States Air Forces Central Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Drowley served as Commander, 57th Wing, Nellis AFB, Nevada.
