36th CRG Continues Super Typhoon Yutu Recovery Efforts In Tinian
Guam Army National Guardsmen assigned to the 1224th Engineer Support Company walk onto a U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules during redeployment operations Nov. 24, 2018, in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, after supporting the Super Typhoon Yutu relief effort. The Federal Emergency Management Agency-led recovery efforts, which began Oct. 25 following Super Typhoon Yutu saw more than 800 active duty, reserve and guard service members from more than 20 different units across all branches responded to the typhoon's aftermath to provide immediate relief to CNMI's impacted inhabitants and its infrastructure.

The finale of RIMPAC in Southern California

This evolution provided an opportunity for participating nations to share best practices which included loading and unloading drills as well as squad attacks. RIMPAC demonstrates the value of amphibious forces and provides high-value training for task-organized, highly capable Marine Air-Ground Task Forces enhancing the critical crisis response capability of U.S. forces and partners globally. Twenty-five nations, 46 ships, five submarines, about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California.

RIMPAC 16: Amphibious assault on Marine Corps Base Hawaii
U.S. Marines with Company E, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, assault a beach during Rim of the Pacific 2016. The assault was launched from USS San Diego and commanded by III Marine Expeditionary Force units aboard USS America. Twenty-six nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security in the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971.
