U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Mercedes Williams, 2nd Joint Communications Squadron, Joint Communications Support Element, tests radio equipment during an amphibious landing during Exercise Cobra Gold 2026 at Hat Yao Beach in Rayong province, Thailand, Feb. 26, 2026. JCSE provides rapidly deployable communications support to joint and coalition forces. U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s J7 Pacific Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability coordinated JCSE’s participation in Exercise Cobra Gold 2026 to enhance joint force and coalition interoperability, allowing U.S. and allied forces to train together as a cohesive, multi-domain force. Cobra Gold is the Indo-Pacific’s largest annual military exercise in mainland Asia, co-hosted by the U.S. and Thailand. The exercise brings together participants from multiple nations for military training and humanitarian projects that strengthen regional partnerships and demonstrate U.S. commitment to Indo-Pacific security.
