USINDOPACOM commander visits Chilean Navy Tall Ship Esmeralda

Adm. Samuel Paparo, commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, visits the Chilean tall ship Esmeralda at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, May 20, 2025. The ship has a crew of over 320 sailors, with many of them being recent graduates of Chile’s naval academy who learn about navigation and seamanship during their deployment.
