HM1 Raymond Black, a seasoned biomedical equipment tech at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, works at his desk preparing for the upcoming 2024 Keen Sword exercise in Japan. Black’s extensive experience includes two deployments to Iraq and one to Kuwait, where he honed his skills in maintaining and repairing medical equipment under challenging field conditions. At Keen Sword, Black and his team will establish a fully equipped field hospital, prepared to handle patient evacuations and deliver Role III healthcare.
