Aircraft assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 and CVW 17 fly over the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108), aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Murasame-class frigate JS Samidare (DD 106) and the JMSDF Izumo-class helicopter destroyer JS Izumo (DDH 183) as they sail in formation in the Philippine Sea, June 9, 2023.
