YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan - A Japan Air Self-Defense Force C-130H Hercules flies past a Japan Ground Self-Defense Force paratrooper from the 1st Airborne Brigade, above a drop zone during the annual New Year’s jump at Camp Narashino, Chiba, Japan, on Jan. 13, 2022. The drop consisted of three C-130Js assigned to the 36th Airlift Squadron from Yokota Air Base, Japan, two Japan Air Self-Defense Force C-130H Hercules, and two C-2 Greyhounds, which dropped approximately 300 JGSDF paratroopers.
