JMSDF Leadership Visits Commander, U.S. Seventh Fleet

YOKOSUKA, Japan - Vice Adm. Hideki Yuasa, commander in chief, Self Defense Fleet, Japan Maritime Self Defense Force, (center right) visits the Enforcement Coordination Cell (ECC) watch floor alongside members of his team and U.S. 7th Fleet ECC Director, Capt. James J. Mehail, during a visit to the 7th Fleet command ship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). As the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed fleet, there are roughly 50-70 ships and submarines, 150 aircraft, and approximately 20,000 Sailors operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
