Navy Base in Japan Works to Keep COVID-19 at Bay

" Capt. Rich Jarrett, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) commanding officer, presents his portion of the weekly Area Orientation Brief (AOB) to 36 newly-arrived military and civilian personnel and their families via video teleconferencing (VTC). The use of the VTC format was to eliminate the need of having a large group attend the AOB in a conference area, thus enforcing the current safety measures involved with protecting the community from the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) by social distancing, March 24. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet™s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
