Governor, INDOPACOM Commander Announce End of War Commemoration

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Adm. Phil Davidson and Governor David Ige pose for a photo, Dec 18, 2019, at a proclamation establishing a blue-ribbon committee that will oversee events commemorating the Sept. 2, 2020, 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in the Pacific. The ceremony took place on the surrender deck of the Battleship Missouri Memorial, where the formal surrender of Japan took place on Sept. 2, 1945.
