Strengthening Partnerships through the Bilateral Exchange Program

Staff Sgt. Brian Ludjack, 374th Operations Support Squadron air traffic watch supervisor, explains to Koku-Jieitai Tech. Sgt. Kenji Nariyama, 2nd mobile Squadron aircraft control and warning technician assigned with Iruma Air Base, Japan, how they monitor and control aircraft in the radar approach control section of the air traffic control tower, Oct. 23, 2019, at Yokota Air Base. The Bilateral Exchange Program gave Japan Air Self-Defense Force service members a chance to see how Yokota conducts its mission by shadowing their USAF counterparts.
