Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group, JMSDF Sail together in Western Pacific

The Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) sails alongside the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force guided-missile destroyer JS Myoko (DDG-175) while underway. The Navy and JMSDF regularly operate, train and exercise together to improve interoperability and strengthen joint capabilities. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
