Operation Tui Moana Concludes in Fiji

MISAWA, Japan - A P-8A Poseidon aircraft assigned to the “Fighting Tigers” of Patrol Squadron (VP) 8, lands on the flight line of Misawa Air Base after a Search and Rescue mission for a missing Japanese F-35 fighter jet Pilot. VP-8 is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet (C7F) area of operations conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F, and U.S. Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
