U.S., Brunei navies conduct annual CARAT maritime exercise

MUARA, Brunei - Lt. j.g. Ben Ralen and Lt. j.g. Akmal Japin search for surface contacts on the bridge aboard Military Sealift Command’s expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Fall River (T-EPF 4) during tactical maneuvering drills as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Brunei 2018. CARAT Brunei 2018 marks the 24th iteration of the maritime exercise series and reflects the growing relationship between the U.S. and Royal Brunei Navy to further expand bilateral and multilateral exercises in cooperatively ensuring maritime security, stability and prosperity.
