7th Fleet Leadership Welcomes Marine Forces Japan aboard USS Blue Ridge

YOKOSUKA, Japan - Lt. Gen. Eric M. Smith, Commanding General, III Marine Expeditionary Force, tours 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) while the ship is moored at Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Sep. 18. Lt. Gen. Eric M. Smith, who took command in August, met with USS Blue Ridge commanding officer, Capt. Brett E. Crozier, to gain a better understanding of fleet operations and build relationships with senior leadership. Blue Ridge is in a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations
