Hawaii-based ships to sortie ahead of Hurricane Lane

A satellite image of Hurricane Lane at 7 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time. At 11 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time, the category 4 hurricane, which was located about 420 miles south-southeast of Honolulu, Hawaii, was moving west-northwest at 8 mph with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph.
