Aircraft Rescue Firefighter Marines with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron extinguish a simulated fire during the Mass Casualty Exercise 2016 at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, March 23, 2016. Conducted in preparation for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force/MCAS Iwakuni Friendship Day 2016 Air Show, the exercise simulated a dual aircraft collision where large crowds will be expected. To make the exercise more realistic, first responders did not know when, where or what would happen. The exercise helps responders maintain situational readiness and ensure the safety of personnel on the air station. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Aaron Henson/Released)
