Pacific Partnership 2016 Departs Philippines

Philippine Air Force Brig. Gen. Claudio L. Yucot (left), U.S. Navy Capt. Tom Williams, mission commander, Pacific Partnership 2016 (center), and Director Bernardo R. During the three-day workshop, co-hosted by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Pacific Partnership 2016, Filipino civilians and military service members coordinated a tabletop exercise to simulate multilateral disaster response among partners during a crisis. Pacific Partnership is visiting the Philippines for the seventh time since its first visit in 2006. Partner nations are working side-by-side with local military and non-government organizations to conduct cooperative health engagements, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges to better prepare for a natural disaster or crisis.

Khaan Quest 2016 Officially Ends at the Closing Ceremony

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia (June 04, 2016) - Chairman of the State Great Khural Zandaakhüügiin Enkhbold greets Maj. Gen. Gregory Bilton, Deputy Commanding General of Operations for U.S. Army Pacific, prior to the Khaan Quest 2016 Closing Ceremony at the Five Hills Training Area. Khaan Quest 2016 is an annual, multinational peacekeeping operations exercise hosted by the Mongolian Armed Forces, co-sponsored by U.S. Pacific Command, and supported by U.S. Army Pacific and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific. Khaan Quest, in its 14th iteration, is the capstone exercise for this year’s Global Peace Operations Initiative program. The exercise focuses on training activities to enhance international interoperability, develop peacekeeping capabilities, build to mil-to-mil relationships, and enhance military readiness.
