During the ceremony, the first of nearly 100 boxes of humanitarian goods was pushed into the C-130 before being delivered to 56 islands across the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the FSM and the Republic of Palau.

Airmen from 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron position themselves to load Coastal Humanitarian Air Drop (CHAD) bundles on to a C-130J Super Hercules during Operation Christmas Drop 2018 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Dec. 9, 2018. The 374 LRS Combat Mobility Flight work throughout the year to pack the parachutes and build the CHADS in preparation for OCD, supplying the 150 bundles used on training airdrops throughout the event.

Santa Claus gives a Hirosaki Ai-Sei-En orphan a Christmas gift during a visit at Hirosaki, Japan, Dec. 8, 2018. The 35th Operations Group annually visits the orphanage to bring gifts, games and other activities to those who are less fortunate, raising approximately $5,000 for this year’s event.

Mitchell Harkley, an independent duty medical technician with the 36th Fighter Squadron at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, demonstrates how to provide self-aid buddy care response to ROK airmen during trauma care training at Gimhae Hospital, Gimhae Air Base. U.S. Air Force medics joined their counterparts from the ROK Air Force and Army to hold the first ever joint training on trauma care.

35th Fighter Wing strengthens U.S., Japan alliance during Tsuiki ATR

A U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress bomber takes off from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, for a routine training mission in the vicinity of the South China Sea and Indian Ocean (HST). This mission was conducted in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s Continuous Bomber Presence operations, which have been ongoing since March 2004.
