Hawaii’s exceptional seven recognized during Military Appreciation Month
HONOLULU, Hawaii — The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii’s Military Affairs Council, government officials, and U.S. Pacific Command leadership take a group photograph with honorees at the state capitol building, during the Annual Hawaii Military Appreciation Month ceremony on May 6. The Ceremony was an opportunity for government, business, and community leaders recognize and honor Hawaii-based service members and their families for their sacrifice.

CLARK AIR BASE, Philippines (April 22, 20160 - U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jay Perocho Acasio, an aircrew flight equipment journeyman with the 51st Operations Support Squadron, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, looks out over his home country during a HH-60G Pave Hawk flight near Clark Air Base, Philippines. The staff sergeant is one of three Filipino-American Airmen serving U.S. Pacific Command’s newly stood up Air Contingent in the Philippines. Duluth Air Guard Deploys F-16s to Osan
CLARK AIR BASE, Philippines (April 19, 2016) - A U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II with the 51st Fighter Wing out of Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, touches down at Clark AB after returning from its first operational mission through international airspace, providing air and maritime situational awareness. The A-10C's mission enhances U.S. military assets in the region upholding freedom of navigation and over flight. Five A-10Cs are joined with three HH-60G Pave Hawks, and approximately 200 personnel deployed from multiple Pacific Air Forces units to make up the first iteration of the U.S. Pacific Command Air Contingent at Clark AB.

Sunsets over A-10C
A U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II, with the 51st Fighter Wing, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, sits on the flight line of Clark Air Base, Philippines, April 16, 2016, as part of a newly stood up Air Contingent in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The contingent's first iteration is comprised of five A-10Cs, three HH-60G Pavehawks and approximately 200 Pacific Air Forces personnel including aircrew, maintainers, logistics and support personnel. The A-10C were chosen as they were already in place supporting Exercise Balikatan 16 and have a proven record operating out of short and austere airstrips, provide a flexible range of capabilities, and have a mission profile consistent with the air and maritime domain awareness operations the air contingent will conduct.

US, Cambodian forces close Angkor Sentinel 2016, celebrate strengthened partnership

This year marked the seventh iteration of the annual bilateral military exercise hosted by the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and sponsored by the U.S. Army Pacific that’s designed to collectively strengthen the two countries’ humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities and improve military-to-military cooperation.

He is responsible for the maintenance of the 112.5 acres of land that make up the cemetery, the 56,971 grave sites of those who are interred in-ground or in-columbarium, and the 28,788 fallen who are memorialized in the courts of the missing.
