SALVEX Korea 2015
Sailors assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 1, Company 1-6, embarked aboard the Military Sealift Command rescue and salvage ship USNS Salvor (T-ARS 52) work to complete a heavy lift of a 30 ton wrecked Korean vessel as part of Salvage Exercise (SALVEX) 2015. The heavy lift was the culmination of a two-week bilateral exercise between U.S. Navy divers and Republic of Korea (ROK) navy divers which focused on reinforcing teamwork and interoperability between the U.S. and ROK navies while giving Sailors the opportunity to sharpen their tactical skills. Littoral Combat Ship Capabilities
WATERS TO THE WEST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (March 9, 2015) The littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) and the guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) conduct a replenishment-at-sea from the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197) during exercise Foal Eagle 2015. Foal Eagle is a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the Republic of Korea-U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Mark Benjamin, right, commanding officer of the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), explains his ship's history, capabilities, and functions to members of the Japanese House of Councilors (JHC). The members of the JHC came aboard to acquire knowledge about the role and function of the ships and facilities of Sasebo to aid in discussing issues related to the Japan-US alliance. Frank Cable, deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.

Buffalo Visits Singapore during Indo-Asia-Pacific Deployment
In this file photos, Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Joshua Martin, assigned to the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Buffalo (SSN 715), renders a passing salute to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force submarine JS Hakuryu (SS 503) as the submarine arrives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Mustin, John S. McCain Sailors Strengthen Partnerships in Korea through Bilateral Training and Port Visit
BUSAN, Republic of Korea (Jan. 29, 2015) - Cmdr. Chase Sargeant, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56), is greeted by a Republic of Korea naval officer after the ship arrived in Busan for a scheduled port visit. John S. McCain just concluded a series of bilateral training exercise with the Republic of Korea navy in international waters west of the Korean peninsula. The routine exercise focused on reinforcing teamwork and interoperability between the U.S. and Republic of Korea navies while giving Sailors the opportunity to sharpen their tactical skills.
