RAYONG, Thailand - 1st Lt. Komatsu Haruko and 1st Lt. Harada Ryotaro, both with Japan Air Self Defense Force, and U.S. Army Maj. Stacy Kang, U.S. Army Capt. Russell Creger, and U.S. Space Force 1st Lt. Jimmy Bagget, integrate space capabilities during Exercise Cobra Gold 2026 from the Combined Space Force Coordination Center, Rayong Province, Thailand, March 3, 2026. In addition to U.S. and Japan, CSFCC personnel included representation from host nation Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, Republic of Korea and Singapore. U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s J7 Pacific Multi Domain Training and Experimentation Capability built the network architecture supporting space enabled targeting, GPS navigation, and SATCOM based command and control. Cobra Gold is the Indo-Pacific’s largest annual military exercise in mainland Asia, co-hosted by the U.S. and Thailand. The exercise brings together participants from multiple nations for military training and humanitarian projects that strengthen regional partnerships and demonstrate U.S. commitment to Indo-Pacific security.
