Secretary ARmy Visits Osan AB, Korea
The Secretary of the Army, Mr. Eric Fanning, smiles with Soldiers assigned to 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade and Republic of Korea -- Army at Osan Air Base, Aug. 2. Fanning toured the D Battery, 6-52 ADA Battalion Patriot site as part of his 12-day Pacific Rim tour. His visit to 35th ADA included a reload drill, air battle management inside an engagement control station, and an interview with local media.

KMEP 16-11 "Esprit de Corps"

KMEP offers realistic training leveraging the most advanced tactics and technology to ensure a trained and ready ROK-U.S. combined force. The ROK Marines are with 73rd Battalion, 7th Regiment, 1st Marine Division. Higgins, a Layton, Utah, native, is a cyber network specialist with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force through the unit deployment program.

Rotational Soldiers begin 2ID's historic move to Humphreys
Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, guide the unloading of M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks from Korean railcars July 13 on US Army Garrison Humphreys. The effort to move 2nd Bn, 8th Cav. Reg., 1st ABCT, from Camp Stanley to USAG Humphreys required the assistance of Soldiers from four battalions, including the 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st ABCT; the 91st Engineer Bn., 1st ABCT; and the 115th Brigade Support Bn., 1st ABCT.

Advancing as One
A Republic of Korea, or ROK, Marine sights in alongside U.S. Marines as ROK Assault Amphibious Vehicles shoot off smoke behind them July 6, 2016 at Suseong Range, South Korea during a Korean Marine Exchange Program, or KMEP. The goal of the KMEP is to sustain the combined force and enhance the ROK-U.S. team at the tactical level to build combined warfighting capabilities. During this exercise the Marines carried out a bilateral regimental-sized Marine Air-Ground Task Force operation for the first time. The ROK Marines were a part of 73rd Battalion, 7th Regiment, 1st Marine Division. U.S. service members participating in KMEP 16-11 as part of the ground combat element are with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force through the unit deployment program.

KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea (May 11, 2016) - Major Baiyln Beck, 8th Fighter Wing Director of Staff, climbs into an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Kunsan Air Base for Exercise Buddy Wing 16-4. Buddy Wing exercises are conducted at various Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) and U.S. Air Force bases multiple times throughout the year in order to practice interoperability between the U.S. and the ROKAF.

ROK and US Artillery Coordinate Fires During a Joint Exercise Near the Demilitarized Zone
YEONCHEON, South Korea (May 10, 2016) - South Korean Soldiers from the 231st Field Artillery Battalion, 26th Mechanized Infantry Division Artillery, coordinate fires during a joint artillery exercise with U.S. Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. The exercise, less than six miles from the Demilitarized Zone that separates North and South Korea, involved 30 self-propelled artillery from the U.S. and South Korea.

US, South Korea Soldiers conduct large-scale river crossing exercise
Crossing over a floating bridge April 8, Soldiers drive 68-ton M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks and 27-ton M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles, across the Imjin River. Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, crossed the bridge assembled by the Republic of Korea Army 6th Engineer Brigade as part of a four-day, combined arms river crossing exercise.

MSC's USNS Stockham, USNS Montford Point perform 'skin-to-skin' maneuver
POHANG, South Korea (March 13, 2016) Maritime prepositioning force ship USNS GYSGT Fred W. Stockham (T-AK 3017) and Expeditionary Transfer Dock USNS Montford Point (T-ESD 1) performs a skin-to-skin maneuver, March 13. The maneuver is conducted by two ships connecting side-by-side with one another at sea. In this instance, the Montford Point acted as a floating pier for a simulated offload.
