Almost done: A team from the 2nd Infantry Division and 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command Logistics Transition Team trainers aim their Inflatable Satellite Antenna in the direction of a satellite at U.S. Army Garrison-Humphreys July 25. Inflatable Satellite Antenna Fielded to 8th Army Units
Capt. Zachary Schofield, assistant product manager with Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems, demonstrates how to use the new Combat Service Support Very Small Aperture Terminal (CSS VSAT) Inflatable Satellite Antenna (ISA) to Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade maintenance and support company. Pacific Ocean Division partnering with allies on topic of water
More than 40 participants from ten nations (Cambodia, Ethiopia, Korea, Laos PDR, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the U.S.) participated in the 2018 Global Technical Exchange. Attendees visited some of Korea's state of the art water facilities to include visiting Korea Water Resources Corporation's Water Quality Research Center. The exchange was co-hosted in partnership with the UNESCO International Center for Water Security & Sustainable Management (I-WSSM), Korean Water Resources Corporation (K-water), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and is endorsed by the U.S. Department of State's Lower Mekong Initiative.

Veterans Reflect on First Battle of Korean War; Receive Honors from City They Protected
Richard Salazar shares photos of his father, and Task Force Smith member, Sgt. Richard Salazar, Sr., with Osan City Mayor Kwak Sang-wook at the 68th TF Smith Memorial ceremony, July 6. Each year, the city of Osan commemorates the U.S. Soldiers who came to the defense of South Korea, and more specifically, Osan, to block and delay the North's advance as reinforcements were assembled. TF Smith, comprised of a makeshift battalion of the Japan-based U.S. Army 24th Infantry Division, was sent to South Korea to delay the advance of North Korean forces. Inexperienced, understrength and ill-equipped, TF Smith sustained 60 killed, 21 wounded, and 82 captured, during its battle against North Korean forces. Nonetheless, TF Smith delayed the North's advance and reinforcements were eventually able to repel the invasion.
