Alaska Air National Guard to receive four additional KC-135 Stratotankers at Eielson AFB
Two F-16C Fighting Falcons and two F-35A Lightning IIs from the 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, fly in formation behind a KC-135R Stratotanker from the 168th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, Eielson AFB, over the Alaska Range, April 21, 2020. The formation represented the new addition of the F-35 to Eielson, which the strategic location and proximity to the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex make it the premier training location for fifth-generation fighter aircraft.

Expeditionary Medical Facility Constructed at U.S. Naval Hospital Guam
The 36th Wing, with support from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and Hickam Air Force Base, contsructed an Expeditionary Medical Support System or EMEDS, on the grounds of U.S. Naval Hospital Guam. The EMEDS facility consists of 11 medical units, and 6 warehouse units and will be used to support the efforts against COVID-19.

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), U.S. Air Force and Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) personnel conduct a humanitarian assistance and disaster (HA/DR) relief briefing at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, during Exercise Cope North 20 (CN20), a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored multilateral field training exercise Feb. 13, 2020. CN20 involves more than 2,000 personnel and approximately 100 aircraft and aims to increase the combat readiness and interoperability of the USAF, JASDF and RAAF.

Team Kadena Operators Honor Ultimate Sacrifice
U.S. Airmen and family members with the 320th Special Tactics Squadron and the 31st Rescue Squadron conduct a memorial ruck march at Kadena Air Base, Japan, Oct. 25, 2019. The ruck featured over 1,000 lbs. of equipment and water hauled across five miles. The memorial ruck served as a symbolic gesture of shared suffering among special operations forces service members, in honor of two pararescueman, Tech. Sgts. Peter Kraines and Sean Barnes who died after sustaining injuries during training incidents in 2014 and 2019.

Seabees Explore Construction Opportunities with Thai Partners
Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 and Airmen assigned to 554th Red Horse Squadron working together to build a latrine facility on the U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield base to increase military training capabilities during exercises on the Red Horse compound. NMCB 5 is forward-deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region ready to support major combat operations, theater security, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Seabees provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces globally.
