Dive Det Bravo ensures cables are safe at Pacific Missile Range Facility Barking Sands
KAUAI, Hawaii (July 6, 2016) - Construction Mechanic 1st Class Matthew Ramirez, with Underwater Construction Team 2 Construction Dive Detachment Bravo (UCT2 CDDB), fastens protective split piping around submerged cables at the Pacific Missile Range Facility Barking Sands. UCT2 CDDB is assigned to the 30th Naval Construction Regiment under Commander, Task Force (CTF) 75, the primary expeditionary task force responsible for the planning and execution of coastal riverine operations, explosive ordnance disposal, diving, engineering and construction, and underwater construction in the U.S. 7th fleet area of responsibility.

US, ROK navies coordinate on anti-submarine warfare
BUSAN, Republic of Korea (June 30, 2016) - Vice Adm. Joseph P. Aucoin, the commander of U.S. 7th Fleet, and Vice Adm. Lee, Ki-sik, the commander of the Republic of Korea Fleet, pose for a photo with their respective warfare commanders after an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Cooperation Committee discussion. WATERS SURROUNDING THE KOREAN PENINSULA, Republic of Korea (March 31, 2016) Mineman 2nd Class Eric Evans and Mineman Seaman James Nagle help retrieve a training mine aboard the mine countermeasures ship USS Patriot (MCM 7) during exercise Foal Eagle. Foal Eagle is a series of joint and combined field training exercises conducted by Combined Forces Command (CFC) and U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) ground, air, naval and special operations component commands. The NNSC provides transparency to the international community by ensuring planning and operations are conducted in a "defensive and deterrent" nature.

George Washington CSG Begins Patrol, Increases Maritime Security
TOKYO BAY (May 18, 2015) - Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) stand in formation selling "goodbye" in Japanese as the ship departs for its 2015 patrol. Following operations in U.S. 7th Fleet, George Washington will conduct a hull swap with the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) this summer, after having served as the U.S. Navy's forward deployed aircraft carrier for seven years. George Washington and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
