U.S. Pacific Command Wishes the Air Force a Happy 68th Birthday

18 September 2015

From Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, Admiral Harry B. Harris

68 years ago today, President Truman signed the National Security Act which created the modern-day U.S. Air Force from the U.S. Army Air Corps.  From heavy-lift aircraft assisting in HA/DR, logistical, and personnel movement missions, to the world's most technologically advanced fighters and bombers -- executing vigilance, reach and power throughout the USPACOM skies.  Our Pacific Air Forces successfully perform time-on-target and overall impressive tasks every day.

Thousands of Airmen demonstrate that OUR Air Force is the best in the world.

Wishing a sincere birthday to all Airmen, past and present! Thanks for all that you do.
