Members of U.S and Indian Special Forces completed a combined freefall jump from a C-17 Globemaster III during Aero India for a parachuting demonstration at Air Force Station Yelahanka, Bengaluru, India, Feb. 20, 2015.
This is the third time in three days that U.S. Army Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group, India's 2nd Parachute Regiment (Special Forces), and National Security Guard have parachuted together, and they are scheduled to jump two more times during the airshow.
"It's good for us to get to jump together and it helps us build relationships with them," said U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Aaron Duemmel, a Bravo Company jumper. "It lets us help them get better and it also helps us because we are able to stay proficient by jumping more often."
This is the first time that Bravo Company and the Indian military have jumped together at an Aero India event. They are scheduled to jump two more times over the next couple of days, which building relationships and improving capabilities so the various branches of the Armed Forces of the United States serving within in its area of responsibility can better complete their mission.
"I enjoy jumping with the American military," said Rajneesh, an Indian National Security Guard jumper. "It helps us with our drills, procedures, timing, and that sort of thing."
Aero India is the premier aerospace exhibition in India and this year marks the 10th iteration since its inception in 1996.
