CAMP H.M. SMITH, Hawaii -- On Wednesday April 13 Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Adm. John C. Aquilino met with Indian Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh, at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Adm. Aquilino and Minister Singh discussed how to advance the India-U.S. Major Defense Partnership in accordance with the objectives agreed to at the fourth India-U.S. Ministerial Dialogue. Their talks focused on information sharing; opportunities to further advance and deepen maritime cooperation; regular bilateral logistics operations such as replenishments at sea, air-to-air and ground refueling; and reaffirmed the importance of regular bilateral and multilateral exercises.

While in Hawaii, the Minister conducted a wreath-laying ceremony at the National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), visited U.S. Army Pacific’s Schofield Barracks and toured Pearl Harbor with U.S. Pacific Fleet.
