CAMP WALKER, Republic of Korea -- U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Daegu Commander Col. Brian P. Schoellhorn joined Daegu City Mayor Kwon Young-jin, Nam-gu Mayor Cho, Jae Gu and dozens of local civic leaders for a ceremony at the former Camp Walker heliport in Daegu on Dec. 10.
A new modern library is planned at the site for the 2.5 million citizens of Daegu. USAG Daegu is committed to making South Korea an assignment of choice by developing close partnerships with community partners and providing support services and programs for Soldiers, Families and Civilians that enhance quality of life and make the installations a great place to live and work.
