CAMP H.M. SMITH, Hawaii -- U.S. Indo-Pacific Command virtually-hosted the 50th annual Pacific Area Senior Officer Logistics Seminar (PASOLS), where 21 countries gathered from Sept. 27-28 to offer members the opportunity to meet and discuss common logistics problems and develop mutually beneficial solutions.

Established in 1971, PASOLS originally started with nine member nations and has developed into 31 member nations and 2 observer nations.

The seminar is a multinational, multiservice, ministry, and Department of Defense level logistics forum in the Asia-Pacific region and serves as an example everywhere for the collaboration and improvement of joint cooperative logistical efforts.

This year’s seminar was not only historic for celebrating 50 years of cooperation and information-sharing but also because, for the first time in eight years, we voted in another nation into the PASOLS delegation – Timor-Leste.

PASOLS continues to provide senior logisticians a venue to exchange logistics information, while enhancing interoperability and coordination among the member nations.
