JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Washington -- Arbinger Institute training for Regional Health Command-Pacific (RHC-P) civilian and military personnel officially kicked off two weeks ago.
Supervisors at the headquarters in Hawaii received the two-day training Jan. 17-18, and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington-based supervisors attended the training Jan. 28-29. Training for all personnel will begin in February, starting with the Hawaii Military Health System.
Col. Laura Trinkle, chief of staff, RHC-P, opened the training at JBLM and told the group, "we're taking a few days to reset so that we can be more effective to lead through the change occurring across the Military Health System."
Arbinger training is a tool to equip individuals with practical strategies and tools to develop and outward mindset approach in their work.
"This training is important because it helps us to keep our eyes on the big picture and not on the individual impacts," said Col. Daniel McKay, director, High Reliability Organization, RHC-P.
