WASHINGTON -- The United States hosted a trilateral cyber experts meeting on cyber security of critical infrastructure on December 19, 2016 . The meeting included a discussion of cyber trends and threats to critical infrastructure, a scenario-based discussion on responding to malicious cyber activities, and other related issues. The three countries reaffirmed their commitment to advance cooperation on this important security issue. The meeting builds on the efforts of U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Republic of Korea (ROK) Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam, and Japanese Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Shinsuke Sugiyama to expand trilateral engagement across a broad spectrum of issues.
