240418-A-CJ630-2023 FORT MAGSAYSAY, Philippines (April 18, 2024) U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, and 25th Infantry Division conduct a live-fire sniper subject matter expert exchange alongside Philippine Soldiers from the Philippine Army’s 7th Infantry Division, Light Reaction Regiment, and the 1st Scout Ranger Regiment during Salaknib 24 at Fort Magsaysay, Philippines, April 18, 2024. The SMEE focused on applying techniques discussed during the classroom portion of the exchange and familiarizing participants with various weapon systems. Salaknib is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. Military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
