MANILA, Philippines - U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Willie Carmichael, commanding officer of U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Midgett (WMSL 757), shakes hands with MaryKay Loss Carlson, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, after the cutter moored in Manila, Philippines, Aug. 30, 2022. Manila is the Midgett’s first international port call during the cutter’s months-long Western Pacific patrol under the tactical control of Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet.
