Basic Training Resumes after Pause, Nearly 1,000 Recruits Ship This Week

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia - Basic Combat Training recent graduates screened upon arrival to Fort Lee, Virginia for COVID-19. A combined effort of social distance enabled training and other health and safety measures were implemented in the first controlled transport of approximately 800 Basic Combat Training recruits from Fort Jackson, S.C. to Fort Lee, Va. Training and Doctrine Command is dedicated to meeting critical mission requirements while safeguarding the health and wellness of recruits, trainees, drill sergeants, support personnel, cadre, and their families.
