KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - U.S. Army Lt. Col. Jonathan Steinbach from the Washington Army National Guard and Chris Utzinger, response section manager for the Washington Military Department Emergency Management Division delivers a presentation in front of nearly 50 stakeholders from natural disaster response agencies in the Indo-Asia-Pacific during the first Malaysian Civil-Military Coordination on Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Course, at the Malaysian Armed Forces Officer Mess, Wisma Perwira, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 18, 2019. The course is designed to enhance the knowledge of disaster response stakeholders in Malaysia and operationalize civil-military coordination at the national, regional and international levels.
